Student Enrichment Funds

Student Enrichment Funds stretch across UNT and support student groups and initiatives on campus. 

College of Education Graduate Student Travel Fund - This fund helps students attend professional conferences and meetings where they have the opportunity to present their work and gain critical insight in their fields of study.

The College of Information Research Conference Award Endowment - This endowment allows the opportunity for personal and professional development, keeps students engaged and helps the college continue to evolve.

UNT Debate Team Fund - This fund supports UNT's award-winning debate team in the Department of Communication Studies, which has won hundreds of awards over the years and is one of the most outstanding of all of UNT's competitive teams.

CVAD Study Abroad - This fund helps supply students with materials, study abroad opportunities, research and internships, enriching the overall education of our promising College of Visual Arts and Design students.

ELEVAR Program - This fund supports a four-year postsecondary education program that empowers students with intellectual disabilities (ID) to become self-determined, independent and healthy adults readied for integrated competitive employment. 

Astronomy Education Program - The UNT Astronomy Program supports undergraduate labs and manages the Rafes Urban Astronomy Center observatory and the Sky Theater Planetarium. This fund is dedicated to helping support a unique and transformative educational experience for students.

Bill Glaze Graduate Fellowship for Environmental Sciences - This fund was established to provide support for research-enhancing activities of graduate students in environmental studies.

The Lisa and Phillip Turner Student Paper Award Fund - This fund was established to provide awards for students enrolled in any course offered by the College of Information and to create and maintain a plaque listing award recipients each year. Awards are given for outstanding papers or projects resulting from students' class assignment. 

CLASS Take Flight - The CLASS Take Flight is a First Year Advising program for all students in their first year at UNT after high school graduation. 

CMHT Leadership Academy - The mission of the CMHT Leadership Academy is to transform students into visionary leaders who are confident, articulate, ethical and adept in relationship building and problem solving.  Through coaching networking, academic coursework, mentoring workshops and service learning activities, students learn valuable skills that will change the way they think and lead. 

RCOB First in Business - First in Business is a program for incoming first-generation Ryan College of Business students. In the program, a yearly cohort of students will be provided with a range of benefits from freshman to senior year. Admission into the program requires a minimum high school GPA of 3.3, recommendation letters and an interview process and one of the main goals is to ensure students complete an internship before graduation.
