Diamond Eagles

The Diamond Eagles Society is a group of difference-makers who have been collaborating to create positive change at UNT since 2017. Every year, each member makes a $1,000 contribution, then the gifts are pooled together to fund a high-impact campus project determined by a member majority vote. If you are interested in making a contribution to become a member, contact Jessica.Chapman@unt.edu

Some of the projects funded by the Diamond Eagles Society include:

Diamond Eagles Garden at Mean Green Acres Hydroponic Farm - This is the fifth project funded by the Diamond Eagles provided funds for UNT Dining Services to expand and relocate its hydroponic farm, increasing access to hyperlocal food.

Diamond Eagles Family Patio - The very first project for UNT’s innovative giving society funded a patio that provides additional space for UNT Alumni Association members and guests to enjoy complimentary food, live music and Mean Green celebration before home football games and at other events.

Preserving and Presenting Fashion History - The third project funded by the Diamond Eagles Society voted to support Digitizing the Texas Fashion Collection in 2019-20. This process provides extended professional development opportunities to students and facilitate the preservation of artifacts, ensuring the collection’s longevity while increasing its accessibility and impact.
