College of Science
Our dedicated donors are the backbone of our college's ability to provide our science and math students with financial aid that positively impacts their lives and career aspirations. These gifts set our scholars up for success in the classroom while at UNT and after they graduate from our University!
The Dean's Excellence Fund specifically helps us ensure that every College of Science scholarship generates the maximum impact possible for our young researchers and future scientists, but there are many scholarship opportunities in our college that support a variety of philanthropic goals, from enhancing environmental research for undergraduate students to training future health professionals.
As many of you know from being students yourselves, scholarship gifts produce a ripple effect. Alumni often return to give back and show appreciation for those who made it easier for them to achieve their own goals as young scholars. This cycle of giving is a necessary and regenerative process that keeps our mission going strong.

The Westheimer Science Research Fellows: Donors passionate about giving students an early start in research pursuits as undergraduates may be interested in the Westheimer Science Research Fellowship, a generous award that provides stipends and support for research-enhancing activities for undergraduate students.
College of Science Dean’s Excellence Fund: The Dean's Excellence Fund is used at the dean's discretion to support students on a case-by-case basis, prioritizing scholarship and financial aid. This allows us to maximize the impact of current scholarship awards and support more science and math students in their academic pursuits.
The Health Professions Alumni Scholarship: The Health Professionals Alumni Scholarships were created by alumni whose belief in students becomes the key that opens doors to careers where compassion meets innovation. Your generosity becomes more than financial support — it becomes an act of belief.
