As the most-used service on campus and an essential component of education and research at UNT, the Libraries offer access to more than 6 million print and digital items along with innovative programs and support services and expert personnel to assist patrons in achieving their academic and scholarly goals.
The Library Dean’s Innovation Fund: This fund allows the flexibility to improve collections, facilities, services and much more. To accommodate the ever-changing needs of students, the libraries must remain the cornerstone of educational resources to the UNT community.
Texas History for Teachers: Unit and lesson plans, student activities, video lectures, and primary sources, freely available for Texas History Educators.
NBC 5 Digitization: UNT Libraries house the complete news archive of NBC 5/KXAS (formerly WBAP), the oldest television news station in Texas and holds the exclusive right to preserve, reformat, permanently store and present the NBC 5/KXAS collection online. Reformatting all the media in the NBC 5/KXAS archive will be a multiyear process. To date, the majority of the footage in the collection is not digitized. This fund is used to support students and faculty involved in this process to meet the needs required to undertake this project.
